Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) Quality

67.5% deionized water and 32.5% high purity urea are blended to form Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF), which is used in more recent Tier 4 Final diesel engines to lessen pollution. For your equipment to run at its best, quality control is essential because DEF is directly injected into your SCR system.

Poor-quality DEF can void the manufacturer’s warranty, result in expensive repair costs, and seriously harm equipment components. You might notice increased DEF consumption or decreased DEF quality or effectiveness, equipment failure, SCR system issues, or component damage when the quality of the diesel exhaust fluid deteriorates.

What is the DPF on a diesel?

When it is time to begin a regeneration process to clean the diesel particulate filter (DPF) of diesel particulate matter (DPM), also known as soot, the power-train control module (PCM) is signaled from a differential pressure sensor for the DPF. The DPF discrepancy pressure sensor is essential for the DPF to continue functioning correctly. In addition to being an expensive repair, a clogged DPF can have disastrous effects on your diesel engine. Understanding the operation of the DPF differential pressure sensor, the causes of its failure, and the proper replacement procedures
